This week in the IMC September 21-25

3rd Grade: This week students will learn about location in the library! It is important to know where all our books are located so we know where to find them. Mrs. Csorba made a Zaption Tour of the IMC that the students watched and answered questions about the virtual tour on their Chromebooks!

4th Grade: Over the course of the year we will explore the different fiction genres. This week we will review what genre is and focus on realistic fiction.

5th Grade: Students will go on a Dewey Hunt and explore the nonfiction collection to get to know the Dewey Decimal system and the nonfiction collection better. Students will create word clouds using Tagul to describe the different nonfiction sections.

Chromebooks in the IMC and for checkout!

This week for library classes and checkouts and going forward, students are to bring their Chromebooks to the IMC. This week, we reviewed Chromebook expectations that the teachers went over in class. We also learned how to search the IPAC (Internet Public Access Catalog) for books in our library. Students can and are encouraged to do this at home! How do they search our collection from home with the IPAC? Follow these simple instructions: 1. www.ccsd66.org 2. Click library 3. Click Prairieview IMC 4. Scroll down and click "External Access" 5. Now you can search our collection! Enjoy! Don't forget if you have an Instagram account to follow the IMC @pvimc :)
