Happy 2013 from the IMC

Happy 2013! We had a great first week of the New Year in the IMC! We talked about books we read over break. I was so happy to hear that a lot of Prairieview read over break and even got some books for Christmas that I had shared with them! How neat is that?! We discussed resolutions and made one for either something to do with reading or how we can use our book checkout times more wisely. Students also enjoyed January centers this week. Third grade made a "blizzard of book picks" by writing a book title they recommend on a snowflake they made. Fourth and fifth grade helped fill our "warm up with a good book" board by filling out a book recommendation on a cup of hot chocolate.

As for Mrs. Csorba and Mrs. Warkentien...we have our resolutions for 2013 too. Mrs. Csorba resolves to read books from the IMC collection every day for at least 20 minutes. Mrs. Warkentien resolves to read 365 books this year. She read 362 last year!! ;)
